My woo woo morning and night rituals.

In case the video is not clear.. As it may be a little all over the shop..

Basically, this is what I do morning and night to help set my day straight and help me stay productive and happy.

There is a quote by some one that I cannot remember… “A good night, will lead to a good morning”.

This is why I have started with the evening first.

Evening:

1. Write a to-do list of aprox. 6 items for the next day.

2. Play track number 45 of this podcast… https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/meditation-oasis/id204570355?mt=2.

3. Set a sleep timer within the podcast app/a clock timer for 5 mins.

4. Close eyes and lay down.

5. Feel happiness throughout your body, feel laughter throughout your body (e.g. literally laugh out loud), feel freedom throughout your body. Then feel all three at the exact same time throughout your whole body.

6. Continue on to visualise the tasks you have to do throughout the next day from start to finish. From getting out of bed – to going to sleep the next night.

(Remember to visualise all tasks getting done smoothly, effectively and most importantly ENJOYABLY!).

7. Once the timer goes off go straight to bed as you want to have your to-do list as your last thought before you nod off, so that your subconscious mind will be thinking about these tasks while you sleep e.g. auto-pilot mode, e.g. super convenient, e.g. nice.

Morning:

1. Play track number 45 of this podcast… https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/meditation-oasis/id204570355?mt=2.

2. Set a sleep timer within the podcast app/a clock timer for 5 mins.

3. Sit in chair and close eyes.

4. Try to think of NOTHING for 5 minutes.

Reasoning for this: The mind is like a wild stallion – hard to control. The meditation technique of trying to quieten and control the mind by thinking of nothing is aimed to help you throughout the day to stay mindful of your thoughts. e.g. It is bad to think negatively all day, therefore this technique will further help you to notice your thoughts when you may fall into a negative thinking pattern.

5. Timer goes off. Repeat steps 1-3.

6. Feel happiness throughout your body, feel laughter throughout your body, feel freedom throughout your body. Then feel all three at the exact same time throughout your whole body.

6. Continue on to visualise the tasks to be done today from start to finish. From the first task to be done, to going to bed that night.

(Remember to visualise all tasks getting done smoothly, effectively and most importantly ENJOYABLY!).

7. Once timer goes off you are done.

Try this and see if it improves your productivity.

Make sure you tick off each item on your to do list as you complete each task as this will further improve this technique.
